We celebrated International PermaCulture Day in 2014 with a bilingual conference (in English & Spanish) that took an integral perspective on that year's topic:
The topic was so fascinating that the conference turned into a substantial, in-depth & radical course (of 11 hours of classes in total) in which we explore this important topic in a very integral way, questioning some long-held 'holy cows' of the alternative movements, & in every 'quadrant': from the individual internal, to the collective external aspects.

Food freedom really means food freedom for all species, especially if you are a permaculturist. Here we explore how our culture is profoundly at odds with this idea: this first class offers an introduction and warns about why this course could seriously improve our health.

We explore how our dietary history is interrelated with deforestation and how regenerating degraded grasslands could multifunction with producing much healthier foods for humans as well as improving soil fertility, restoring biodiversity, improving water cycles & trapping CO2 & methane in the soil.

Nowadays there is much confusion about what is healthy, and it's pretty clear that sickness is big business. How did this happen? What is the solution?
Very few people realize that each generation of civilized humans is weaker, more deformed and more prone to sickness than the last. In this class we explore why that is, and also how this is related to other patterns of oppression.
(34+ 32+ 36+ 32 & 18 mins)In the Patrix (from Patriarchy), food industry is a very good business. Since we are born, we're plugged to this patrix of industrial food, and we become addicted. Yet euphoria is our natural state when we are healthy: our brains naturally segregate hormones and neurotransmitters that make us feel good. The drugs we are addicted to (most notably sugar, in its many forms) keep us sleeping, numb, in order to not feel pain, but they also numb our ability to feel happiness and our intelligence.
In this class we propose a series of steps towards freedom from this complex web of systemic problems.

Here we start with exploring why an example of the answer to a wrong question is "to live without money".
We explore the work of several integral pioneering women of eco-economics & how common mis-conceptions about food & health are - surprizingly - at the core of how the system stays in place.
We touch on how oppression is a main defense system of the destructo-culture, look into the imaginal cells mythology & to some wonderful examples of communities which have managed to control their economies through resistance & solidarity.
